I want to see how close
Twitter is to actual stalking.
This weekend, I'm heading to D.C. for the first time since I left almost three years ago. I'm meeting up with friends and we're then driving up to Atlantic City.
I figure that's the perfect time to send live updates under 140 characters. Too often I have a lot to say but end up forgetting or letting too much time lapse, and who wants to read in August about my crazy relatives from Christmas? This will act as notes for one post when I get back. Or if I'm lazy (likely), I'll just copy and paste all the Twits into one.
If all goes well, you should be able to return to this page often and see updates about what I'm doing this weekend. Or you can go to
Twitter and receive text messages or IMs as soon as I send them.
Because surely you care about the exact food that I'm eating at the exact time, eh?
I don't yet see the appeal to this, other than being mass connected at the same time like a big communal support group with strangers. Maybe I'll come away thinking of it romantically, like when you're talking on the phone to a girl you just met and you think of ham at the exact time that she thinks of ham, and the world's a better place.
Okay, here we go. Just refresh the page for the latest Twit...
